Permanent, full-time role based near Vina, Alabama; inpatient setting; oversight of clinical care and program operations. - Board-certified/eligible Psychiatrist - Experience overseeing inpatient psychiatric services and leading teams - Comfortable with geriatric and adult populations - Valid AL medical license (or ability to obtain) - Experience working with APPs (NPs/PAs)

A well established practice is looking for a Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director of a 30-bed Geri Psych and 20-bed Adult Psych facility. Strong APP support for everyday patient care with Medical director oversight. The Senior Care Center at Shoals Hospital offers an acute treatment program designed to address a wide range of Geriatric Psychiatric disorders that require hospitalization. This highly specialized program provides acute care to Geriatric patients exhibiting Psychiatric symptoms, often in relation to medical disorders. The hospital???s 30-bed center treats patients age 55 and older who are in need of an intensive and safe setting. In addition, it has has 20 licensed Adult Psychiatric beds with a census of approximately 18 per day.
