Director of Finance Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations in the finance department
- Manage, lead and develop the finance team; ensure adherence to labor guidelines, and administration of policies and procedures
- Responsible for all financial operations and accounting functions, including but not limited to long-range planning, maintaining liability, insurance, banking relations, preparation of financials, vendor relations and general functionality
- Work closely with GM and members of the strategic leadership team to develop and implement strategic goals to uphold and honor the values of the organization
- Provide project management and oversight for initiatives directed by GM
- Other duties as outlined in the job description
Director of Finance Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience at the senior management level in a finance department. The ideal candidate has a hospitality, grocery, and/or retail finance background.
- MBA, CMA, or CPA or related degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent rules, regulations, and local, state and federal laws, including GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Must have a strong background in operations, project management and leading diverse teams to success. The ideal candidate has clear career progression from accounting into a leadership role, and strong tenures
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and organizational abilities
- Experience with long-range planning, developing budget lines, expansions and scaling for growth. Solid understanding of business cycles
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and GL software.
- The ideal candidate has familiarity with union contracts and labor relations and is passionate about natural foods
