Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) / Tumor Registrar to support cancer registry operations in a remote capacity. This role is responsible for accurate data abstraction, analysis, and management of oncology cases in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Abstract, code, and maintain cancer registry data in accordance with state and national standards
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of oncology data submissions
- Utilize EMR systems to review medical records and extract required data elements
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all applicable regulations
- Collaborate with registry and clinical teams as needed to support reporting requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification (required)
- Associate’s degree or equivalent (minimum 60 college-level credits)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Cancer Registry
- At least 2 years of experience using computer software programs, including Word, Excel, and internet-based applications
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

- Must be a W-2 employee of the staffing agency
- Active state license not required
- Bilingual skills not required
- Holiday coverage not required
