Job Summary:
The Pharmacist in Charge is responsible for managing all pharmacy operations, ensuring the safe preparation and dispensing of medications, maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical laws and regulations, and supervising pharmacy staff to support efficient and high-quality patient care.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all pharmacy operations
- Supervise the work results of pharmacy technicians and support personnel
- Oversee preparation and dispensing of prescriptions
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and policies
- Maintain accurate records for controlled substances
- Manage drug supply processes including order receipt, invoicing, stocking, and inventory control
- Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments
- Review and interpret physician orders for accuracy and therapeutic compatibility
- Detect therapeutic incompatibilities and resolve medication-related issues

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacist License
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
