Overview
Our Neurology Clinic is currently seeking a full-time locum Neurologist to provide comprehensive care to our patients until a permanent physician is hired. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Neurologist looking to make a significant impact in a supportive clinical environment.
Job Responsibilities
As a locum Neurologist, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting general neurology consultations, including new consults and follow-ups
- Providing expert care to patients during clinic hours, with no on-call requirements
- Performing and interpreting EMG studies, sleep studies from our Neuro-Diagnostic center (preferred but not required)
- Administering Botox treatments (preferred but not required)
- Collaborating with a team of three other Neurologists, seven APPs, and one Neuro Psychologist to deliver comprehensive care
- Utilizing our EMR system, Cerner, for accurate documentation of patient encounters
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Board Certification in Neurology - REQUIRED
- Active Iowa License or IMLC - REQUIRED
- Availability for full-time coverage starting in July
- Ability to conduct EMG studies and interpret sleep studies (preferred)
- Certification in Botox administration (preferred)
