Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with Epic experience and a TX or compact license for a dayshift Med-Surg ICU assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Medical-Surgical ICU setting
- 12-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Day shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00-19:00
- Weekend coverage includes 6 shifts every 6-week period
- Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity
- Epic charting system used and experience required
- No travel pairs or groups will be considered
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; no time off granted during the first week of orientation
- Coverage of holidays may be required based on schedule
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required
- Epic charting experience required
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from facility and not in specified excluded counties
- Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
