We are seeking a Family Medicine physician for a locum tenens position near Albuquerque, NM. This role offers a unique chance to serve in a rural primary health clinic with a variety of responsibilities. The position is available immediately and will continue on an ongoing basis.

Outpatient Care:
- Provide primary and urgent care services to patients of all ages.
- Perform procedures such as toenail removal, ear lavage, cryotherapy for warts, lesions, and skin tag removal.
- Manage minor urgent care needs including sutures and wound care.
Clinic Coverage:
- Work at two clinic locations: Quemado (2 days a week) and Reserve (3 days a week).
- Utilize provided clinic vehicles for travel between locations.
- Operate as a solo provider in a rural clinic setting.
Patient Volume:
- Manage approximately 10-12 patients per shift.
- No rounding responsibilities.
- Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Licensing: Must hold an active medical license in New Mexico.
- Certifications Required:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is mandatory.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required.
- Fellowship: Not required.
- Hospital Privileges: Not necessary.
- Temporary Privileges: Not available.
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days.
Clinic Environment:
- The clinic operates from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- No on-call hours or admitting privileges required.
- All higher-level care patients are transported by local EMS.
Additional Duties:
- Perform and document procedures using NextGen EHR system.
- Provide a limited number of injections, such as Rocephin, when only the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is present.
- Obtain certification for performing CDL physicals if not already certified.
