Unit Specifics:
· Number of Beds : 40
· Patient Ratios : 1:1
· Unit staffing description: 24hr Unit Secretary Coverage, 24hr MD coverage
· Type of equipment : Primarily Jet based HFV, NAVA ventilators,
· Documentation system: CPN primary Meditech secondary
· Scheduling requirements: 7P-7A, 3 12 hour shifts, every other weekend
· Floating policy: Float to Womens Hospital Units (Peds >1yrs, Newborn Nursery, Tech for Ante or Postpartum)
Hospital Specifics-
· Certifications: CPR, NRP
Hiring profile
Must have: Neonatal Phlebotomy, Experience in a level 3 NICU or greater
Advanced skills needed: Mechanical Ventilation including High Frequency Ventilators (Jet or Oscillator) minimum of 3 years, Neonatal Surgical Recovery preferred
Procedures performed on unit: Circumcision PDA Ligation Chest tube placement ROP Total Body Cooling
