Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position on an innovation-focused unit, requiring a VA or compact license and at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 32-bed medical/surgical hospital unit specializing in new technologies and nursing practices
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patients
• Weekend shifts required every other week
• Will be scheduled for holiday rotations as needed
• Use of Hercules beds and innovative medical equipment
• Local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Unit is focused on early adoption of new technologies, equipment, and nursing practice models
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Holiday work coverage required according to assignment schedule
• Any requested time off must include holiday plans and be documented prior to assignment
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required at time of application
• At least 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
