Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a compact or NC RN license and ACLS/BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) serving patients of all ages
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Patient ratio is typically 1:2-3
- Float requirements with a ratio of 1:6
- Weekend and on-call hours may be required as needed
- Uses Cerner EHR system
- ICU RN will care for patients with a range of critical conditions including respiratory failure
- Scrub color is the traveler's choice; no casual wear allowed
- Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs
- COVID vaccine required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1-2 years recent ICU experience
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIHSS (RQI certifications not accepted)
- Experience with high acuity and respiratory failure preferred
- Education and licensure meeting NC RN standards
- Must provide Social Security number and date of birth for consideration
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the previous 12 months
- Permanent address must be more than 60 miles from facility
- Cannot hold full-time employment elsewhere
