Full-time Digestive Health Physician in Myrtle Beach, SC; permanent employed role with 5 GI colleagues and 3 NPs. Mon–Fri schedule, 36 patient-contact hrs + 4 admin hrs/week; 1:4 call (moving to 1:5); consult-only service (no admissions). Must be BC/BE in Gastroenterology; experience with endoscopy, ERCP/EUS preferred; eligible to work in US (J/H visas considered); malpractice covered.

Medical Center is seeking a Digestive Health Physician
--Join 5 other employed GI?s and 3 NPs
--Full time position ? Monday thru Friday
--36 Patient Contact Hours ? 4 Admin Hours/week
--1:4 Call (will go to 1:5) ? Consult Only Service - No Admissions
--Consults and rounding a done by the physician on call.
--75/25 split on lab/endoscopy vs clinic
--11 - 12 Patients per day for procedures; 20-25 per physician seen in the clinic
--Each physician has their own designated RN for support
--5000+ cases per year in the endoscopy area ? 500 inpatient/4500 outpatient
--150+ ERCP and 200+ EUS annually and volume continues to grow
--Candidates can do general GI practice, but there is also demand for ERCP and EUS
procedures/advanced endoscopy
--Currently 4 procedure rooms and 8 holding rooms (pre and post operative area)
--Scopes ? Olympus 180 and 190 series (HD scopes)
--C-Arm is available in the department
--Colonoscopies are done with Propofol and anesthesia support
- All of our procedures are done with propofol in our unit, but if the doctor travels to ICU to do a procedure where anesthesia is not there, then they would do that procedure with conscious sedation
