The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides behavior support and intervention services to individuals with developmental disabilities under BCBA supervision. Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans, monitoring progress, and communicating with families. The role requires a background in psychology or special education, RBT certification, and experience with behavior management, emphasizing compassionate and clear communication.
ALAY Home Care is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who is Caring, Compassionate, and Dependable. The RBT will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior support strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Pay Rate: $35/hr
Responsibilities

Implement behavior intervention strategies designed by the supervising BCBA.

Support reduction of interfering behaviors such as self-injury, aggression, and repetitive behaviors.

Provide compassionate, clear communication with families to help them understand treatment goals and recommendations.

Monitor client progress and report observations to the supervising BCBA for plan updates.

Participate in ongoing training and supervision sessions required by the BCBA.

Assist in data collection, accurate documentation, and carrying out behavior modification plans.
Requirements / Qualifications

Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, special education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is preferred.

1 year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities

Valid CPR/First Aid certification

Ability to work under BCBA supervision and follow established intervention plans

Background in working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disabilities.

Familiarity with medical terminology and experience with medical or clinical documentation is an advantage.

Solid foundation in behavior management strategies and special education methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth in behavioral health and developmental support.
