Locum Tenens Plastic Surgeon Needed ??? Flexible Schedule Options in Iowa We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plastic Surgery Physician to join our team near Afton, IA. This is a full-time locum tenens position with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care in both surgical and cosmetic procedures. The role involves working closely with medical staff to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Schedule: Patient Contact Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday Clinic Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Procedure/OR Days: 2-4 days per week On Call: Participate in call rotation for soft tissue and clinic/EMTALA Flexible scheduling options: 7 days on/7 days off or 2 weeks on/2 weeks off Responsibilities: Manage trauma calls and emergency room consultations Conduct in-office consultations and minor procedures Collaborate with breast surgeons for reconstructive surgeries Engage in teaching opportunities if interested Facility Details: Inpatient care at MercyOne Medical Center and MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center Supported by 1:1 nursing staff and access to medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy services Utilize Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system Qualifications: Board Certified in Plastic Surgery Active Iowa License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility Proven experience in plastic surgery Patient Demographics: Surgical and cosmetic patients of all ages, with a daily clinic volume of 16+ visits per full day depending on case complexity.
