Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• BSN degree required
• California RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all must be AHA certified)
• Every other weekend requirement
• On call/call off based on census
• Patient ratios: 2:1 during days and nights
• Daily census of 4-6 patients
• 6-bed ICU with 9 total rooms
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Epic charting system experience required
• Possibility to float to ER or Med/Surg (last resort for Med/Surg with 4-5:1 ratios)
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Comprehensive ICU skills required including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, and procedural sedation
• Must be comfortable with accessing/managing ports, chest tube assistance, CVVHD/CRRT, and emergency medications
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• One holiday time-off request approved per contract

This coastal healthcare facility operates a 6-bed intensive care unit providing comprehensive critical care services to the community. The facility features modern equipment and maintains interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services. The ICU serves patients across all age groups and maintains low patient-to-nurse ratios to ensure quality care delivery.
