Job DescriptionThe Intermediate Care Unit is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team. The unit accommodates 30 patients with a blend of private and semi-private rooms, functioning under a model that emphasizes high-quality care and effective teamwork.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit with a focus on the highest standards of safety and patient satisfaction.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) therapy, including titration of various drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Hospitalists and an in-house IV team, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms, ensuring timely interventions as needed.
- Participate in patient orientation and education, fostering a supportive environment for patients and families.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips; experience with Nihon Kohden telemetry preferred.
- Strong foundation in managing patients with a variety of diagnoses including cardiac conditions.
