The position is for a full-time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist providing hospital-based interventional radiology services in the Bronx, NY, under a VA Veteran Government Care program. Responsibilities include performing a wide range of high-acuity interventional procedures, 24/7 call coverage, and participating in patient consultations and departmental quality initiatives. The role requires an active unrestricted U.S. medical license, current certifications, and offers a Monday to Friday schedule with on-call rotation.

Outstanding Locum opportunity for a Board-Certified/Eligible Interventional Radiologist to provide services under a VA Veteran Government Care program in New York. The position involves high-acuity cases in a hospital-based setting with comprehensive procedural exposure and 24/7 departmental coverage.
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Call Coverage: 24/7 rotational call coverage
Setting: On-site, hospital-based Interventional Radiology
Scope of Care Includes:
• Angiography
• Balloon angioplasty & stent placement
• Chemoembolization
• Cryoablation
• Line insertions
• IVC filters
• Cholecystostomy
• Kyphoplasty
• Nephrostomy placement
• Embolization
• Gastrostomy
• Dialysis access procedures
• Thrombolysis
• Biopsy
• TIPS placement
• Radiofrequency & Microwave Ablation
• Y-90 Radioembolization for liver and metastatic disease
Physicians will also participate in:
• Pre- and post-procedure consultations
• Case reviews and care planning
• Follow-up evaluations
• Quality improvement and departmental meetings
Board Certified / Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology Required
Active, full, and unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state) Required
Must maintain up-to-date CME and ABR certification requirements
Clean malpractice and background preferred
Prior VA or government experience a plus
Full-time schedule, Monday Friday with on-call rotation
Mix of procedural and administrative responsibilities (approx. 18% admin time)
Department provides 24/7 emergency IR coverage
