American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department and Oncology Care Center night shift position with EPIC experience and 2 years of ER experience required.
Responsibilities- Work in both the Emergency Department (ED) and Oncology Immediate Care Center (ICC) settings
- Night shifts are scheduled as 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
- Assigned to care for hematology, oncology, and sickle cell patients, as well as general ED patients
- Patients commonly present with sickle cell crisis, fever, uncontrolled pain, anemia, nausea, vomiting, or dehydration
- Float between ICC and ED units is required as needed
- EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
- Provide care for patients in both acute ED and less acute oncology settings
- Develop relationships and skills in a supportive, team-oriented unit
- Must undergo Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing
- Locals are accepted at the same pay rate
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as per unit needs
- RTO (requested time off) must be submitted and approved with contract
- Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are not eligible for travel assignments
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Prior EPIC EMR experience required
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
- At least two professional references required, with one from a manager, director, or charge RN
- Former employees eligible if not employed at the facility within the past 6 months
