This locum position seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic surgical oncology to provide full-time inpatient care in an acute care hospital. The role involves pre- and post-surgical patient management, assisting in the operating room, and performing procedures like wound and drain care. It offers a stable weekday schedule, no on-call duties, and a 13-week flexible contract starting in March 2026 in Minneapolis, MN.
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide locum services in a surgical oncology setting in Minneapolis, MN.
This is an excellent opportunity for an APP specializing in Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic (HPB) surgery looking for full-time inpatient coverage starting March 9, 2026.
Job Details:

Full-time, Monday Friday
7:30 AM 4:00 PM (5x8 schedule)
No call required
Contract Length: 13 weeks (flexible, potential to extend)
Start Date: March 9, 2026
Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient care and assist with pre- and post-surgical management
Collaborate closely with surgical team
Assist in OR when needed (patient prep, surgical assistance, closure)
Perform procedures such as wound care and drain care/removal
Requirements:
Active Minnesota license (required for quick start)
NP or PA with surgical oncology experience (HPB strongly preferred)
Ability to manage complex surgical oncology patients
Experience assisting in OR and performing inpatient procedures
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: days
Completion of facility-specific forms and verifications required
Interview with department leadership
