Sports Medicine Physician (Outpatient) - New York, NY
Full-Time $250,000 - $400,000 New Graduates Welcome
A growing outpatient private practice in New York City is seeking a Sports Medicine Physician to join a collaborative, patient-focused team. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates, fellows, or experienced physicians interested in non-surgical sports and musculoskeletal care, with strong mentorship and long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage acute and chronic sports-related and musculoskeletal conditions
Perform outpatient procedures such as:
Joint & soft tissue injections (corticosteroid, PRP, viscosupplementation if trained)
Trigger point injections
Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physical therapy and care teams
Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and safe return-to-activity
Maintain accurate documentation using EMR
Collaborate with referring providers and allied health professionals
Optional coverage of local athletic events (if interested)
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified / Board Eligible in:
Sports Medicine (Primary Care Sports Medicine preferred), or
Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or PM&R with Sports Medicine training
Eligible for or active New York State medical license
DEA license (or ability to obtain)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Interest in outpatient, non-surgical sports medicine
