Position Details: Start Date: January 1, 2025 Duration: Ongoing, with 10 days of coverage per month. Coverage Type: Call only (beeper). Practice Setting: Inpatient-focused with no outpatient responsibilities required. Call Requirements: Must respond within a 30-minute radius. Phone consultations with occasional callbacks. Primary Responsibilities: Supporting OB/GYN and Emergency Department cases as there is no dedicated Pediatric Unit. Essential skills include neonatal and pediatric ventilation management, intubation, lumbar punctures, and more. Requirements: License: Must hold an active Texas medical license. Certifications: Board Certification in Pediatrics is mandatory. ACLS and PALS certifications required. NRP certification is essential. Skills: Expertise in non-invasive and invasive ventilation management (newborn and pediatric). Proficiency in procedures such as conscious sedation, central line placement, arterial lines, and chest tube insertion. Additional Information: EMR System: MEDHOST.
