Emergency Medicine Job Details
- Position Type: Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician
- Location: Cambridge, Ohio Southeastern Ohio
- Emergency Department: 16 beds, 27,000 annual visits
- Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (7p-7a, 7a-7p); minimum 5 shifts/month, mostly nights and weekends
- Coverage: 24-hour physician coverage, 36-hour APP coverage daily
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13-week contract, with potential extension
- EMR System: Meditech
Emergency Medicine Physician Qualifications
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, or Board Certified in Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience
- Active Ohio medical license (IMLC accepted; proof of LOQ required within 3 business days)
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
- Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Medicine experience
- Clean background (no exceptions)
Emergency Physician Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team, including advanced practice providers
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate documentation and patient management
- Participate in both day and night shifts, with emphasis on nights and weekends
