American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding position in Ohio, requiring a compact or OH RN license and strong critical care skills.
Responsibilities- Work in the ER Holding unit of a hospital setting
- Care for a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Typical patient ratio is 1:4
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three nights per week from 19:00 to 07:30
- Uses Epic for documentation
- Responsibilities include managing complex medical cases often requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams and utilize rapid response resources as needed
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signing
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Former employees are eligible to apply if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
- Current employees are not eligible for travel positions at this facility
- Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
- Active compact or Ohio RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia management, PCU/stepdown care, IV insulin and heparin protocols, renal failure management, cardiac and vasoactive drips (with titration), blood product administration, tracheostomy management, rapid response, wound care, and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with Epic documentation
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisory role
