We are currently seeking a Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens position near Edmonds, WA. This is a great opportunity for a skilled provider who enjoys working with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension, and it requires full-time availability, Monday through Friday. Job Details: Specialty: Family Practice Start Date: As soon as credentialed Contract Length: 3 months, with potential for extension Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) Breaks: 1-hour unpaid lunch daily Responsibilities: Patient Volume: Up to 21 patients per day, may vary based on cancellations and scheduling Patient Population: Newborns to geriatrics, must be comfortable treating patients of all ages Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant Receptionist Mental health therapists Dietitians Pediatrician onsite at most clinics Local health care administrator for timecard submission Procedures: Routine family medicine procedures including injections, IUD placements, minor wound care Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC Key Qualifications: Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Family Medicine License: Active Washington State medical license required DEA: Active Washington DEA required Experience: Must have experience working in community health centers or with vulnerable populations such as migrants and refugees. Experience with these patient groups is highly valued, though interpreters are available on-site. Minimum Requirements: Clean background required; no malpractice history will be considered. Special Skills: Ability to start quickly with a brief orientation period (expected to provide patient care by day 3). Credentialing Timeframe: 2-4 weeks from application to start date.
