Henry Ford Medical Group at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital (HFHJ) is actively seeking a highly skilled, Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Vascular Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Jackson, Michigan. Position Overview:
This full-time surgical position offers a outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon to contribute to a growing service line within a reputable group. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in both endovascular procedures and vein care, with a commitment to providing comprehensive vascular services in a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inpatient and outpatient vascular surgeries, including vascular rounds and clinic consultations.
- Manage a diverse caseload of vascular conditions, including endovascular interventions, vein treatments, and complex vascular cases.
- Collaborate with a team of two vascular surgeons, a nurse practitioner, and certified vascular technicians to deliver high-quality care.
- Participate in call coverage on a 1:4 rotation, including nights and weekends, with scheduled support from colleagues.
- Maintain current documentation within the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Support ongoing growth of the vascular service line, contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Fellowship-trained in Vascular Surgery, with full certification or eligibility to achieve certification prior to start date.
- Open to upcoming 2025 fellowship graduates, with a preference for candidates able to start quickly in 2025.
- Endovascular skills and vein experience are preferred.
- Valid DEA license and eligibility for licensure in Michigan.
- Candidates must have completed their initially granted Board Certification or be in the process of re-certification if previously lapsed.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with exemptions approved for medical or religious reasons.
- Open to H1B visa candidates; J1 visa candidates are not eligible.
- Candidates should be committed to long-term employment, with a willingness to work within the designated geographic and professional parameters (long commutes or multiple employment endeavors are discouraged).
Conditions of Employment:
- Completion of personnel health screening, in accordance with HFHS policy.
- Credentialing and privileging are required; employment is contingent upon successful credentialing.
- Must maintain ongoing certification and licensure as mandated.
