Summary
About the Role/Unit:
As a Registered Nurse with the Cath Lab team at Sinai Hospital, you play a vital role in providing specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You ensure patient safety and comfort while supporting the cardiology team in delivering high-quality care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other interventional procedures.
- Monitoring patients’ vital signs and hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures.
- Educating patients and families on pre-procedure preparation, post-procedure care, and recovery instructions.
Requirements:
- Education: BSN preferred; ADN required
- Licensure: Maryland Registered Nurse License or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
- Certification: American Heart Association BLS Certification and ACLS required; NIHSS required within 6 months of hire
- Experience: 1-3 years of Cath Lab experience required
