Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a KY or compact RN license and two years of recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab
- Shifts are 7a-7p or 7a-5p, with 12-hour or 10-hour day shifts
- Patient population consists primarily of individuals requiring cardiac catheterization and related interventional procedures
- Responsibilities include providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures
- All travelers must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- No local candidates will be accepted for this travel position
- Team members are expected to complete onsite mandatory trainings as required
- A professional and collaborative environment is maintained within the unit
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- Current AHA certifications required; certificates must not expire in the same month as start date
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required and must be active at the time of consideration
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training required for all RNs, may be completed onsite
- COVID and Flu vaccinations required with documented proof
- No gaps of 3 months or more in work history unless explained
