Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to provide quality patient care in high-pressure situations. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, recognizing safety issues, and intervening in life-threatening situations.
Responsibilities- Assume duties as a charge nurse as required.
- Provide quality patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Recognize and address safety issues for patients and staff.
- Employ effective problem-solving skills under stress.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks efficiently.
- Current NYS RN license is required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- PALS certification required or to be obtained within six months of hire/transfer.
- Experience with MEDITECH is required.
- Travel experience is required.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- A minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience is required; critical care and charge experience preferred.
- Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months of employment.
- IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation.
