The SEM Process and Equipment Supervisor manages day-to-day operations of the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) department within an advanced electronics manufacturing environment. The role involves overseeing equipment maintenance, leading a team of technicians, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safety, quality, and productivity. Candidates need technical expertise in SEM and electronics repair, supervisory experience, and knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
Our client, a leading organization in advanced manufacturing and electronics, is seeking a SEM Process and Equipment Supervisor to join their team. As a SEM Process and Equipment Supervisor, you will be part of the Electronics Manufacturing Department supporting the technical and operational excellence of the team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: SEM Process and Equipment Supervisor
Location: Haverhill, MA
Pay Range: $35
Shift: Days (06:00am- 2:30pm)
What's the Job?
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the SEM department, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
- Maintain and repair specialized electronic equipment, including Scanning Electron Microscopes, to established parameters and specifications.
- Lead and develop a team of technicians, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 6S and lean manufacturing practices.
- Monitor equipment uptime, troubleshoot issues, and plan preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of experience operating and troubleshooting Scanning Electron Microscopes and electronic equipment repair.
- Minimum of a 2-year associate degree in a technical field like Electronic Engineering Technology, Microelectronics, or Mechatronics preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing, Ultra High Vacuum systems, and data acquisition techniques.
