Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Epic proficiency and flexible scheduling for a 13-week assignment.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based Operating Room position
- Rotating shifts of 4x10 hours: 09:00-19:00 or 10:00-20:00, depending on case volume
- Call required based on department needs
- Holiday call coverage is rotated with regular staff
- May be required to float onsite within skill set or to nearby sites within a 40-mile radius
- Robotic and scrub nurse experience preferred
- Utilizes Epic EMR system
- Daily duties include circulating and possibly scrubbing for surgical procedures, supporting both routine and advanced/robotic cases
- Call schedule and holiday coverage rotate with permanent staff
- Team environment with support from regular OR staff
- May require flexibility in shift start time based on OR volumes
- First-time travelers are not specifically stated as excluded
- Local candidates are accepted but at a reduced rate per facility policy, with radius rule varying by state
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required and must be verified by primary source within 30 days prior to start
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- At least 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Robotic surgery and scrub nurse experience are helpful but not required
- US Social Security Number and US home address required
