RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Emergency Department with 25 procedure rooms, 4 beds in psychiatric annex, and 8 hallway beds utilized 24/7
• Patient ratio of 4:1 with flexibility during acute surge periods
• Work every other weekend requirement
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, TNCC
• Strong assessment skills, critical thinking abilities, and communication skills with patients and peers required
• Must demonstrate adaptability, dependability, and punctuality
• Work with Sunrise/Allscripts EMR system
• Equipment includes U/S IV skills, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
• Perform typical procedures including trauma care, stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, U/S IV insertion, IO insertion, eye exams, EKGs, psychiatric care, and cardiopulmonary care
• Follow RN policy-written protocols based on chief complaint with ability to order complete workup of labs, EKGs, x-rays, and medications
• Dress code requires scrubs with no hooded shirts or sweatshirts for safety
• No floating to other areas
• EKG interpretation skills preferred
