Registered Nurse in the Yale New Haven Health operating room/neurosurgical unit providing assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and supervision of patient care; functions as charge nurse and preceptor and coordinates multidisciplinary care. Emphasis on neurocritical skills including neuro assessment, airway and tracheostomy management, ventilator care, halo brace and special neuro procedures, plus patient/family education and documentation in electronic records. Requires RN licensure, BLS, BSN preferred, and competency in hospital policies and perioperative/neuro patient management.
