An academic-affiliated Hospital in eastern Massachusetts is adding a Geriatric Psychiatry Physician due to growth.

About the Opportunity:

• 100% Inpatient
• Join one other Psychiatrist and one APRN
• The position is open to a general Psychiatrist or Geriatric Psychiatrist
• Cases include: Geriatric Psychiatry, Dementia, adult cases, depression and anxiety
• Re-envisioning geriatric psychiatry in the system
• Option to do consults however not required
• We are opening the 21-bed unit to adult inpatients in addition to geriatric patients
• The expected daily patient census is 10. Bonuses for seeing additional patients
• This is a Med/Psych unit so there is a medical service to co-manage patients and treat medical presentation
• Call is not required and is paid additionally
• Medical Student Teaching. Residents rotate through all inpatient units
• Flexible dayshift
