The Vascular Nurse Practitioner provides specialized surgical and critical care support, working extended shifts in both the operating room and ICU. Responsibilities include independently performing vascular procedures such as vein harvesting and managing high-acuity patients. The role requires weekend and on-call coverage with significant autonomy in patient care settings.
- Length of coverage: 3-6 months
- The candidate will work four 10-12 hour days per week if assigned to the OR and three 12-13 hour shifts if assigned to the ICU.
- The ICU does include overnights in house.
- The provider will have a 1 in 4 or 5 weekend responsibility. (On call from 6p Friday to 6a Monday)
- Surgical call responsibility: 1-2 week days per week from 6P-6A.
- Provider must be able to act independently in the OR, harvest veins, and operate in a high acuity ICU setting.
