Adult Forensic Outpatient Psychiatrist Locums Job in the California Bay Area Details/Requirement: Forty hours a week starting ASAP and ongoing. Ten hour days is an option with a Tuesday-Friday schedule. Also open to part-time work, but must be at least two days, and the days preferred would be Thursday and Friday. 100% adult patients seen in a county jail setting. All work takes place within the jail inmate housing units and clinic (outpatient). No tele psychiatry. Average 12-15 patients per day in an 8-hour day. Combination of initial visits for assessment and ongoing renewals. Hours are 7:00am to 6pm Monday through Friday, either 8 or 10 hour shifts. No call. Electronic medical record system, so you must be computer literate. Takes approximately 2-4 weeks for credentialing. Prefer Doctors who have correctional or county jail work experience; however, this is not a requirement. Prefer 6-month minimum assignments, but the longer the better.
