Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Full-Time in Milford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and telecommunications environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access control systems and verify identification credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns in and around the location.
Assist with emergency response protocols as required by site-specific guidelines.
Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding Allied Universal standards.
Document incidents, observations, and/or actions taken in detailed written reports as required.

Minimum Requirements:

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
