The Charge Nurse/Flow Coordinator in the Emergency Department manages patient movement to ensure safe and efficient care delivery. They coordinate patient care activities, liaise with medical staff, delegate workload, and demonstrate leadership and professionalism. This role requires a registered nurse with emergency department experience and certifications in nursing and emergency care.
Overview: The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED. - Graduate of a nursing program Required
- BSN Preferred
- 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required
- Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License Required
- BLS/ ACLS/ PALS certification Required
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) Preferred
