A prominent academic medical center in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Cognitive/Behavioral Neurologist to provide outpatient neurology coverage on a flexible, part-time basis. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing patients with cognitive and behavioral neurological disorders, conducting consultations, and collaborating with care teams. The position requires an MD or DO with fellowship training, board certification or eligibility in Neurology, and an active New Jersey medical license.
A leading academic medical center in Northern New Jersey is currently seeking a Cognitive / Behavioral Neurologist (Physician) to support its outpatient neurology services. This is a flexible, travel-based assignment providing coverage while the organization recruits a permanent provider.
About the Opportunity- Hybrid or Remote: On-site only
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: 2-3 days per week
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
- Setting: Outpatient Neurology
- Call: None
- Coverage Type: Physician only
- Procedures: None
- Evaluating and managing patients with cognitive and behavioral neurological conditions
- Providing outpatient consultations and follow-up care
- Collaborating closely with fellow neurologists and interdisciplinary care teams
- Documenting clinical encounters accurately and timely in the EMR
- Supporting continuity of care during the permanent recruitment period
- MD or DO
- Fellowship training in Cognitive Neurology and/or Behavioral Neurology
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
- Active New Jersey medical license or ability to obtain
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Experience in outpatient neurology settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Professional, patient-centered approach to care
- Prior academic or large health system experience
- Comfort working within a multidisciplinary environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in a temporary coverage role
