The Oncology - Radiation Physician position involves providing specialized radiation treatment to cancer patients within a multidisciplinary team using advanced technologies such as IMRT, IGRT, and Gamma Knife. The role includes clinical care, teaching, and research responsibilities at a state-of-the-art outpatient facility and regional centers. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Radiation Oncology and licensed to practice in North Carolina.
The Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking full-time faculty members to join our cancer team. The department is composed of 4 radiation oncology physician faculty, 4 dosimetrists, 5 medical physicists, 12 radiation therapists, and one physician assistant. A radiation biology section is also part of the department. The department has an average of 70 patients under treatment. The department provides professional services in its state of the art outpatient facility and at several regional centers. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology, and meet requirements for licensure in North Carolina.
