Cardiac Anesthesia Locums Job Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm No Call Assignment
Details/Requirements:
Adult coverage with average number of hospital patients - 5 admissions; 1 inpatient; 1 ICU Locum will respond to in-house codes
Number of ICU beds - 28
Specific fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia
Board Certification in Echo required
TEE certification is required
Locum will not handle high-acuity cases like heart transplants, LVADs or ECMO. There are six ORs and 8 cath labs Total
Cases: mix of cardiac cases to include vascular, thoracic and general. Although most cases will be primarily CVOR/Cath Lab cases.
The anesthesiologists will do TEE guidance structural heart cases. There will be 25-50% of cases that are structural heart. Structural heart cases will be Triclips, Mitral clips, TAVRS, Watchman.
The cardiac anesthesiologists will do their own cases.
Opportunity will be hands-on, supervision and mix. Responding to codes means airway management and or medically running the code, depending on whichever the situation calls for.
