We are seeking a highly qualified Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment in a dynamic and collaborative hospital setting near Donaldson, Arkansas. This role offers the opportunity to work in a strong cardiovascular program at a Level II Trauma Center, supporting surgical teams in cardiac and thoracic cases. Position Overview: Role: Locum Tenens Cardiac Anesthesiologist Location: Donaldson area, Arkansas Start Date: February 17, 2025 Duration: Open-ended, with multiple blocks available through 2025 Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7 AM 3 PM Responsibilities: Primary Duties: Administer anesthesia for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases Supervise Cardiovascular CRNAs Perform Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and epidurals Support and collaborate with the Cardiovascular CRNA and MD team Required Procedures: Proficient with TEE Experienced in a range of CV cases, including ECMO and thoracic surgeries (excludes transplants) Required Qualifications: Board Certification: Required in Anesthesiology Licensure: Active Arkansas medical license preferred; consideration for candidates willing to obtain one Background: Clean malpractice and background history highly preferred COVID-19 Vaccination: Required Compensation and Benefits: Holiday Rate: 1.5x standard rate for holiday hours Orientation Rate: Paid at half the hourly rate after eight hours of training Malpractice Coverage: Included in compensation package Credentialing Information: Timeline: Estimated 2-3 weeks for credentialing completion Requirements: Active Arkansas license or intent to obtain one, full credentials documentation required This locum position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a skilled CV team, performing vital and challenging procedures in a well-equipped hospital environment.
