Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13-week travel RN contract
• Location: Anchorage, AK 99508 – Explore Alaska’s mountains, outdoor adventures, and unique city culture
• Healthcare Setting: Recovery Room / PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts per week (9:00 AM–9:30 PM or 10:00 AM–10:30 PM)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• On-Call: 4-5 night call shifts per 4-week schedule, including 1-2 Saturdays per month
• Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
• Start Date: November 10, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680

PACU RN Qualifications

• Active, permanent Alaska RN license (required for submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience with tele monitoring, post cardiac/cath lab devices, and orthopedic devices preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care and recovery for surgical patients
• Monitor and manage post-procedural devices and patient vital signs
• Safely recover patients from deep sedation and anesthesia
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including Charge RNs, Staff RNs, and PCAs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
