The position is for a full-time hospitalist physician in South Carolina, providing inpatient care with a 7 on/7 off schedule and alternating 24-hour call shifts. Job Description & Requirements Hospitalist Physician StartDate: 3/29/2026 Available Shifts: Regular 12 Pay Rate: $150.35 - $162.75 Qualifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine Active South Carolina Medical License Active CSR DEA that can be permanently registered in the state of South Carolina Assignment Details: Seeking full time (7on/7off) coverage beginning either March 31 st or April 1 st . Orientation will either be March 30 th or March 31 st Schedule cycle runs Tuesday Monday; 7on/7off Call alternates every other day/night and lasts for 24 hours. One of the physicians coming in on Tuesday will take over call that Monday evening at 7pm and they will cover call until Tuesday morning at 7am (which is when the other Physician coming on will take over), then the 24 hour alternating call cycle begins until the following Monday evening. Physician on call handles all admissions from ED and handles calls on patients from the floor. Average daily census for the hospitalist service is 21 patients, and there are 2 hospitalists that work at a time; therefore, each hospitalist averages anywhere from 10-22 PPD. There are no APPs Open ICU (6 ICU beds). Procedures would be a nice plus, but is not required. However, Hospitalists do need to read EKGs and do stress tests. McLeod Dillon is a rural facility, and there is an onsite call house.
