Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a night shift position on a 16-bed Oncology Unit requiring an active RN license and AHA BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Position is on a 16-bed Oncology Unit with hematology, end-of-life/hospice, and overflow med/surg patients
- Hospital setting with night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Patient care includes oncology, hematology, hospice, and some medical/surgical cases
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, care plan implementation, and documenting in EHR
- May care for patients at various stages including end-of-life or hospice and med/surg overflow
- ADL assistance and follow-through with provider orders is expected
- EHR documentation required
- All positions are auto offer
- Travelers may only apply to one position system wide
- Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate, with radius rules varying by state
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
Requirements
- Active RN license required; primary source verification must be completed within 30 days prior to start
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
