Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU night shift assignment requiring current MO or compact state licensure and critical pediatric CICU experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at a children's hospital
- Night shift schedule with 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:00)
- Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center and Level IV NICU
- May float to the cardiac medical-surgical floor if needed
- Cares for pediatric cardiac critical care patients
- Cerner is used for charting, previous experience preferred
- Role includes caring for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients and supporting the cardiac med surg floor as needed
- Team operates within a supportive, multidisciplinary pediatric critical care environment
- Any kid-friendly color or pattern may be worn for scrubs
- Free parking is provided with a permit
- This is a nicotine-free campus and pre-employment nicotine testing is required
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum two years of pediatric CICU/CVPICU nursing experience required
- At least one year of pediatric CICU experience needs to be clearly demonstrated
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA) certifications required at time of consideration
- Two professional supervisor-level references completed within the past 12 months required
- Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
