Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position with night shifts in an acute care, Level 1 trauma setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Central Resource Pool (Med Surg/Tele) of an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes medical, surgical, and telemetry cases
• Unit supports a Level 1 trauma environment
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Assigned to straight night shifts with 12-hour shift length
• Work schedule includes every other weekend and holiday shifts
• Float as needed within Med/Surg and telemetry units according to resource pool needs
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Orientation consists of 8 hours
• Returning travelers must have ended previous employment with the health system at least 6 months prior to consideration
• Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles are eligible with a locally adjusted rate

Requirements

• Active SD or multistate compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• Previous experience in Med/Surg and telemetry strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred
