Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work in stepdown unit with 1:5 patient ratio
• Care for patients with CHF, cardiac angiogram before and after care, ablation, pacemaker, TEE, cardioversion, stroke, and cardiac drip management
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips including Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardiazem, Nirdipine, Heparin, and Lidocaine
• May float to ED and within same discipline across local campuses
• Every other weekend schedule
• 16-hour NBO (nights, bends, orientation) requirement
• Billable overtime after 40 hours per week (36-40 hrs/week standard, up to 48 hrs/week available)
• Holiday requirements: must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited time off requests between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26
• Use Cerner PowerChart EMR system
• Minimum 2 years stepdown experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract required
• Must be more than 50 miles from market
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Iowa nursing license required
• Same day interviews available
