Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Subject to low census and on-call status with 2-hour minimum call back
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) and 2 years IMC/PCU/Tele experience required
• Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Care for post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure patients
• Handle pacer, defibrillator, ablation patients and acute cardiac conditions
• Manage medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
