Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work alternating day and night shifts with block scheduling
• Patient ratios: 1:3 during days, nights, and weekends
• Provide care for adults and geriatrics
• May float to take PCU assignments in the ICU when needed
• Every other weekend coverage required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Navy blue scrubs required
• 2 years of experience required (will consider less based on experience)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI
• Work with medication system: Pyxis
• Documentation system: Cerner (EPIC preferred)
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CKD, ESRD, DMII, CHF, COPD, GIB, Post-op
• Handle special procedures including long term ventilators and tracheostomies
• Work in 6-room, 8-bed unit with daily census of 8 patients
• Alaska nursing license required prior to starting
• Must maintain 100-mile radius from permanent residence

The facility maintains high standards for patient care and offers comprehensive orientation and ongoing education through HealthStream modules.
