Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical-need Labor & Delivery position in California, requiring a current CA RN license and recent high-risk OB experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
- Care for both standard and high-risk OB patient populations
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Provide comprehensive care for laboring mothers, including those with high-risk pregnancies
- Must have all licenses and certifications active at time of consideration; pending not accepted
- No difference in pay rate for local candidates
- Travelers may not exceed two years of assignment within the health system without a 90-day break
- Must comply with required vaccination policies
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery experience
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
- Preferred: 5+ years recent experience in Labor & Delivery (within the last 2 years)
- Preferred: 1 year high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within last 2 years
- High-risk OB experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
