Position Details:
- Duration: January 20, 2025 January 25, 2025 (with potential for ongoing coverage).
- Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- No weekend or after-hours call required.
- Practice Setting: Inpatient focus with daily volumes averaging 10-15 cases.
- Heavy focus on small GI biopsies.
- Approximately 1 cancer case per week.
- Support System: Access to consulting pathologists located approximately 45 minutes away, with a courier service for case reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Grossing and cutting frozen sections.
- Specialties required include:
- GI, GU, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Cytology (GYN and Non-GYN).
- Minimal autopsy work (non-forensic).
- Solo practice environment.
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- Licenses: Active California medical license and Fluoroscopy certification.
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
- Fellowship training is preferred but not mandatory.
